a positive thought about happiness The Little Things in Life by Catherine Pulsifer It truly is all the little things in life that bring true happiness. When you add all the small joys and kindnesses together, joy and kindnesses that are with you more days than they are absent, your sum total will surely equal or exceed one piece of great fortune. In today’s society, we are constantly rushing to do more. Information comes at us at a rapid pace. Our environment allows little time to stop and just enjoy, and appreciate the little pleasures of life. It is up to you, however, to make time to enjoy the everyday pleasures. If you do not take the time to enjoy these small moments of pleasure, they will pass you by without you realizing what you have missed. We all know someone who never seems to be happy; they always have something to complain about. When you speak with these people and hear nothing but negative responses, stop and ask, “What ONE thing has happened today to make you happy”. Don’t let them off the hook; make them tell you ONE thing! Remind them it is the little things in life that bring happiness.
